Job summary

Charleston Center is seeking a dedicated individual to join the DPH/CLIA Certified Drug Screen Laboratory. The role focuses on collecting witnessed urine specimens for inpatient and outpatient donors, operating the Beckman AU480 Analyzer, and reporting results to staff and outside referrals.

Applicants should have excellent customer service, legible handwriting, and the ability to master specific software and analyzer quality controls to achieve certification. No venipuncture is performed.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree with a year or more of related experience or comparable education/experience.
• Collect witnessed urine specimens for both inpatient and outpatient donors.
• Operate and interpret results from Beckman AU480 Analyzer and report to staff/outside referrals.

Responsibilities

• Collect witnessed urine specimens for donors.
• Run specimens on Beckman AU480 Analyzer.
• Ensure results are reported to staff and outside referrals.
• Prepare samples for transport to labs for further handling/analysis.
• Work with policies to handle biohazard waste and weekly pickup preparation.
