Job summary

Centerra Gold is seeking a Mine Maintenance Clerk at the Thompson Creek Mine in Clayton, Idaho. The role provides administrative support to the Mine Maintenance department, including data entry, inventory assistance, and coordinating maintenance work orders.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, 1–3 years clerical experience, and strong typing and organizational skills. SAP experience and proficiency with Word/Excel/Outlook are preferred.

• Assist with tire and truck bed liner inventory.
• Assist maintenance planner with organizing part deliveries and generating/closing work orders.
• Update the component changeout spreadsheet management system and communicate updates.
• Schedule maintenance-related meetings and trainings for continuous improvements.
• Prepare, assemble and process required documentation for maintenance scheduling.
• Serve as backup to Maintenance database system administrator.
• Other duties as assigned.

AboutThompson Creek Mine

The Thompson Creek Mine is a primary, surface molybdenum mine and mill located approximately 48 kilometers southwest of the town of Challis in Idaho's Custer County.

In operations since 1983, the mineuses conventional open-pit mining methods with large electric-powered shovels that can each move up to 100,000 tons of waste rock and ore per day.

Thompson Creek Minepromotes a drug and alcohol-free workplace and has adopted a zero-tolerance policy with respect to alcohol or unauthorized drugs on site.

About The Opportunity

We are looking for a Mine Maintenance Clerk t o join our Thompson Creek team who will be responsible for providing a full range of administrative support services to the Mine Maintenance department.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Performs administrative functions such as entering maintenance information into the mine database system.
• Assists with tire and truck bed liner inventory.
• Assists maintenance planner with organizing part deliveries, generating corrective work orders, and closing work orders.
• Responsible for updating the component changeout spreadsheet management system, and communicating the updates.
• Responsible for scheduling maintenance-related meetings and trainings for continuous improvements.
• Prepare, assemble and process required documentation, and plan for maintenance scheduling activities.
• Serve as backup to Maintenance database system administrator.
• Other duties may be assigned.

About You

To qualify, the following skills and experiences are required :

• High school diploma or GED.
• Applicants for this position must have 1-3 years general clerical experience.
• Excellent typing skills, demonstrated concern for details and accuracy.
• Ability to operate various office machines, to work independently, to handle multiple priorities.
• SAP experience is preferred.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Word are required.
• Effective team working relationships with all levels of employees.
• Ability to work independently.
• Organizational skills and detail-orientated mindset.
