Qualifications:

  • Grade 12 education (Manitoba Standards)
  • Completion of Dietary Aide Level 2, Diet Technician Course, Nutrition and Diet Therapy Course, or equivalent
  • Current Food Handler Training Certificate Level 1 or willingness to obtain within 6 months
  • Experience with Hospitality Suite software preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet applications
  • Knowledge of regular and therapeutic menus
  • Strong organizational, communication, and independent judgment skills
  • Ability to respect cultural diversity and confidentiality

Position Summary:

The Clerk III Nutrition Services supports the Nutrition Services department with clerical and administrative duties, including menu marking, patient/resident interactions, staffing scheduling, and other tasks as assigned. May perform on-call duties and assist in coordinating department activities.

Responsibilities include:

  • Staff scheduling and documentation
  • Processing diet orders and maintaining records
  • Interacting with patients/residents and families
  • Monitoring food quality and tray accuracy
  • Managing supplies, inventory, and finances
  • Preparing reports, audits, and communications
  • Supporting staff attendance and training
  • Performing on-call staffing relief and leadership duties in absence of supervisors
