Stony Brook University is seeking a Clerical Specialist I to perform diversified clerical work and maintain complex budget records for Campus Operations. The role emphasizes strong communication and collaboration with Procurement, Accounts Payable, and other departments.
The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma/GED and 3 years of clerical experience, with proficiency in MS Office or Google Workspace. Some exposure to work order systems and billing is preferred.
Job Field Clerical/Secretarial
Required Qualifications (as Evidenced By An Attached Resume) High School Diploma/GED (foreign equivalent or higher). Three (3) years of full-time clerical experience. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and Word) and/or Google Workspace.
Preferred Qualifications Experience with a work order system (ex. INFOR). Experience with accounts payable and/or billing. Experience working in a customer service environment.

Special Notes The Research Foundation of SUNY is a private educational corporation. Employment is subject to the Research policies and procedures, sponsor guidelines and the availability of funding. This is a full-time appointment. FLSA Non-Exempt position, eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA.
