Job summary

Qualifications

  • Four-year high school diploma or educational equivalent approved by a State education department or recognized accrediting organization; one year of clerical experience.
  • Keyboard familiarity with a minimum of 100 keystrokes per minute (20 words).
  • This 55a Program eligibility note should be indicated on resume if applicable.
  • Residency requirement: NYC residency within 90 days; possible eligibility to reside in surrounding counties after 2 years.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and schedule work assignments for clerical staff; ensure coverage for all clerical activities.
  • Review and update client appointment flow using systems like FRED, NYCWAY, ASSETS, WMS, ECFS, CS TRACK, etc.; handle scanning/indexing of documents.
  • Respond to telephone inquiries about appointments and sanctions; process mail and faxes; refer callers as needed.
  • Prepare daily/weekly statistical reports and rosters; monitor staff attendance and performance; assist with inventory and clerical duties.
