Interested in taking you clerical skills and knowledge to the next level? Join us at the Department of General Services as a Clerical Assistant 3. As a valued member of the Bureau of Publications Admin team, you will perform timekeeping, administrative, and customer service-related duties including regenerating damaged mail and assisting the office manager in performing human resource and administrative clerical functions. Bring your talents and ambition to our team!As a Clerical Assistant 3, your work will focus on processing time-sensitive billing. This includes reviewing and comparing data to ensure the correct costs are charged for the work completed, invoicing work orders, working with the Customer Account Managers to verify pricing and coding, and working with the Comptroller's office to ensure bills are paid in a timely manner. Your attention to detail skills will be key as you verify monthly invoice audits, research any discrepancies, and follow up with corrective action when necessary.
In this important role, you will manage all timekeeping responsibilities by following and adhering to the rules set forth in the union contract. This involves working closely with HR's time advisor to ensure compliance for all three shifts, keeping current knowledge of timekeeping rules, and preparing timekeeping and payroll reports.
