Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions in Manassas, VA is seeking a CLEARED Tier 2 Network Engineer to join a large DoD program onsite. The position is full-time and requires working with LAN/WAN infrastructure, routers, switches, VPN appliances, and security devices.

Responsibilities include monitoring network performance, providing design recommendations, and supporting data center infrastructure while staying current with industry best practices.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a Network Engineer.
• Active Top Secret clearance or ability to obtain.
• Experience with BGP, OSPF, EIGRP routing protocols.
• IAT Level II certification (such as Security+).
• F5 load balancers experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure including routers, switches, VPN appliances, load balancers, and security devices.
• Monitor and optimize network performance using management tools and best practices.
• Provide design feedback and support during engineering meetings for network projects.
• Manage data center network infrastructure and assist with storage and virtualization.
• Stay informed on emerging technologies and industry trends.
