Trabus Technologies in San Diego seeks a mid-level Systems Engineer with product owner instincts to connect government and commercial customers with TRABUS software teams. You will translate mission needs into clear engineering tasks and support diverse projects across defense, data analytics, and marine domains.

The role requires 2+ years in systems engineering or requirements translation, Agile/Scrum experience, and an active DoD-adjudicated Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in systems engineering, or a similar requirements-translation role.
• Experience translating customer or mission requirements into actionable software tasks.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum frameworks and strong written/verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain system-level requirements documentation and traceability.
• Support system integration, verification, and validation activities for software.
• Communicate progress and risks to stakeholders in clear, non-technical terms.
• Assist in scope estimation and SOW drafting for future development.
• Translate operational needs into actionable user stories and tasks for TRABUS teams.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning and backlog refinement.
