Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Secret Cleared Software Systems Test Engineer to join a major defense program at Hill AFB. The role involves acting as liaison across PMO Software Division, prime contractor and external stakeholders, reviewing requirements and MBSE artifacts, and coordinating with teams to support software acquisition and development.

You will learn and apply Model Based Systems Engineering approaches, review code, establish traceability, and deploy software into the DevSecOps

Qualifications

• 7+ years of systems/software engineering experience (master's adds 2 years).
• Model Based Systems Engineering concepts with CAMEO, SysML, Rhapsody.
• Experience with Software Testing or Software QA.
• Ability to code in and understand at least one scripting language (ideally C++).
• Software traceability to the system level.
• Experience tracking and evaluating program progress.
• Active Secret Clearance with ability to obtain SAP and TS.
• Ability to sit on site at Hill AFB daily.
• Familiarity with software coding standards.

Responsibilities

Insight Global is seeking a Secret Cleared Software Systems Test Engineer to join one of their top defense clients at Hill Air Force Base supporting a large defensive weaponry program. This individual will be responsible for acting as the technical liaison and action officer to support collaboration between the Project Management Office Software Division, the prime contractor and external stakeholders. These individuals will be reviewing requirements, specification documents, processes, plans, guides and reports, as well as coordinate with other teams and stakeholders in the development and evaluation of software systems engineering requirements related to the overall large program. They will learn and apply innovative Model Based Systems Engineering approaches to Software Acquisition and Development. This group will be responsible for taking the software development by the Prime, reviewing code, creating traceability, and deploying code into the DevSecOps pipeline for deployments.

Pay Range: $60-72/hrPay range based on applicable experience.

Skills and Requirements

• 7+ years of experience with systems or software engineering (Master's Degree accounts for 2 years of experience)
