Job summary
Sandia National Laboratories is seeking a Cleared Member/Senior R&D Sensor Engineer to join the Environmental Controls and Sensors Team on an onsite basis. You will design, qualify, and integrate sensor technologies across JTA programs, collaborating with mechanical, analysis, and production teams to ensure a production-ready product lifecycle.
The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, DOE Q clearance, and willingness to travel up to 25%.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering/science.
- Graduate degree preferred in EE/CE with independent research.
- Experience with analog/digital circuit design and analysis.
Responsibilities
- Develop sensor designs to production-ready status through iterative cycles.
- Collaborate with Systems Engineering to ensure requirements mapping, verification and qualification planning.
- Support sensor qualification testing and documentation, including test plans and data analysis.
- Analyze environmental test data, including long-term drift and reliability assessments.
- Serve as the interface between design teams and production facilities to resolve challenges.
- Travel up to 25% to support mission; work onsite 100% of the time.
