Job summary

Allied Universal® in Boulder, CO is seeking a Part Time Cleared Security Officer to provide customer service and security for aerospace/defense facilities. Responsibilities include patrols, access control, and incident documentation, with a DoD Secret Clearance required.

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and the ability to pass background checks and drug screening. CPR/First Aid certification is preferred, and a valid driver’s license is required for driving

Qualifications

• An active DoD Secret Clearance is required.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response protocols at an aerospace and defense location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, restricted areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials and visitor authorization in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities as required.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol logs while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive site information.
