Job summary

Athios is seeking a cleared Network Engineer to support the U.S. Department of Treasury in Washington, D.C. This full-time, 100% onsite role requires strong VTC administration and networking expertise.

You will design, implement, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure, including CISCO devices, WAPs, firewalls, routers, and switches, with after-hours support as needed. A TS clearance and 5+ years in federal networks are preferred.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret security clearance required.
• Minimum 5 years' federal government network ops experience.
• Experience with CISCO network devices.
• Relevant certifications (CCNP/CCNA/Security+/Net+) desired.
• Degree in Network Operations & Security preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain daily operation of the enterprise network.
• Design, configure, test networking hardware and software per architecture.
• Implement and troubleshoot CISCO devices including WAPs, firewalls, routers, switches, controllers.
• Monitor, optimize network performance and security.
• Assist in disaster recovery and ensure data protection.
• Prepare system documentation and diagrams (SND, DND, templates).
