Job summary

Accenture Federal Services in Arlington, VA seeks a highly skilled Cleared Software Engineer with Java and Spring Boot experience to contribute to OpenFGA wrapper service and supporting tools, writing clean, maintainable code under guidance of senior engineers.

You will work on API development and testing, with on-site presence in Arlington two to three days per week, and you will engage with cloud-native platforms and AWS services while maintaining security best practices.

Qualifications

• Experience in cloud-native development on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud (AWS preferred).
• Strong Java and building microservices with Spring Boot.
• Proficient with Apache Kafka (producers, consumers, topics).
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift.
• Familiar with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab).
• SQL and NoSQL databases knowledge.
• Knowledge of cloud security best practices.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Ability to work on-site in Arlington, VA two to three days per week.

Responsibilities

• Implement API endpoints and business logic for wrapper service.
• Develop features for OpenFGA data model management.
• Write unit tests and integration tests.
• Debug and resolve software defects.
• Assist with documentation and code examples.
• Participate in code reviews and team ceremonies.
• Support onboarding team with technical questions.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipeline improvements.
• Background designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
• Proficiency with core AWS services.
