Job summary

Accenture Federal Services in Arlington, VA seeks a Cleared Software Engineer specializing in Java and Spring Boot to contribute to the OpenFGA wrapper service and supporting tools. You will write clean, maintainable code under guidance from senior engineers and participate in a range of development activities.

You will implement API endpoints, manage data model features, write tests, and contribute to CI/CD improvements while collaborating across teams in a cloud-native AWS environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in cloud-native development on AWS (preferred).
• Strong proficiency in Java and building microservices using Spring Boot.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka, including producers, consumers, topics, and streaming concepts.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
• Familiarity with automated build and deployment pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, or similar tools.
• Solid understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Knowledge of cloud security best practices.
• Active DOD Secret Clearance.

Here's What You'll Need:

• Proven experience in cloud‑native development on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud (AWS preferred)
• Strong proficiency in Java and building microservices using Spring Boot
• Hands‑on experience with Apache Kafka, including producers, consumers, topics, and streaming concepts
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift
• Familiarity with automated build and deployment pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, or similar tools
• Solid understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases
• Knowledge of cloud security best practices
• Active DOD Secret Clearance
• Ability to work on‑site in Arlington, VA two to three days per week

As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland . The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
