Job summary

Accenture Federal Services seeks a Cleared Software Engineer skilled in Java and Spring Boot to contribute to the OpenFGA wrapper service and supporting tools. You will write clean code under senior guidance and help shape RESTful APIs, CI/CD improvements, and testing strategies.

You will apply cloud-native development practices on AWS, work with Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift, and collaborate across teams.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in cloud-native development on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud (AWS preferred).
• Strong proficiency in Java and building microservices using Spring Boot.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka, including producers, consumers, topics, and streaming concepts.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
• Familiarity with automated build and deployment pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, or similar tools.
• Solid understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Knowledge of cloud security best practices.
• Active DOD Secret Clearance.
• Ability to work on-site in Arlington, VA two to three days per week.

Responsibilities

• Implement API endpoints and business logic for wrapper service
• Develop features for OpenFGA data model management
• Write unit tests and integration tests
• Debug and resolve software defects
• Assist with documentation and code examples
• Participate in code reviews and team ceremonies
• Support onboarding team with technical questions
• Contribute to CI/CD pipeline improvements
• Background designing and implementing RESTful APIs
• Proficiency with core AWS services
