Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. is hiring Data Center Technicians to resolve hardware, fiber, and networking issues in our global data centers. This role requires a TS/SCI clearance with polygraph and will involve physical activity, 24/7 shift coverage, and collaboration across teams.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or higher, Security+ or equivalent certifications, and are able to obtain security clearance. AWS offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent diploma, or A+ or CND (Certified Network Defender) or Network+ or Security+.
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph.
• Active Security+ certification or ability to obtain one within 90 days of start.

Responsibilities

• Engage in physical data center activities including capacity planning, rack deployment, cabling, troubleshooting, and rack decommissioning.
• Take ownership of technical issues, engage other teams to drive resolution, and document root causes.
• Provide proactive issue detection and reporting to maintain SLAs.
• Work shifts including days/nights/weekends/holidays to support 24/7 operations.
