Job summary

The National Solutions Business Area at Leidos currently has an opening for a cleared cartographic analyst to support our customer in Springfield Virginia. This role leverages your GIS expertise to deliver cartographic production and analysis within a government-contractor team.

Responsibilities include Electronic Nautical Chart Conversion, production and review, plus data extraction from diverse sources. A partial telework option may be available; TS/SCI clearance and CI Polygraph willingness

Qualifications

Minimum of a High School Degree.
Five years of relevant experience (military or full time geospatial professional work).
Or, High School and 4 years + GPC level I and II, or relevant Bachelor's degree + 2 years' experience.
Experience in geography, cartography and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) with ArcGIS applications.
Experience creating shapefiles, geodatabases, and features.
Knowledge of NGA digital data formats and geospatial production techniques.
Ability to analyze imagery and non-imagery source information for NGA hydrographic products.

Responsibilities

Provide cartographic production and analysis within a government/contractor team.
Support Electronic Nautical Chart Conversion, Production and Review.
Support existing and developing mission areas with GIS analyst functions.
Perform data extraction from various sources including rasterized nautical charts and hydrographic data.
Update source catalogs and information, data conversion/migration.
