Job summary

Allied Universal in Boulder, CO is seeking a Clearance Required- Security Officer to protect clients across aerospace and defense settings. The role involves patrolling, access control, and delivering excellent customer service while maintaining a visible security presence.

You must have an active DoD Secret clearance and a valid driver’s license; CPR/First Aid is preferred. This full-time position offers a pay rate of $26.14 per hour and a schedule that includes evening shifts.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret Clearance is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of aerospace and defense-related facilities, buildings, restricted areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual conditions and report observations.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorizations, maintain visitor logs, and direct authorized personnel in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate observations promptly to appropriate site contacts and emergency responders.
• Prepare accurate activity logs and incident reports, document patrol findings, and support compliance with facility procedures for controlled and restricted areas.
