MHS Homes is seeking a proactive Estate Services Resilience Operative focused on grounds maintenance and caretaking to keep outdoor spaces clean, safe, and well maintained for residents. The role blends cleaning, waste handling, and basic DIY tasks with opportunities to support void property clearance and environmental reporting.

Formación

• Experience in caretaking or cleaning and grounds maintenance is required.
• Strong customer service and communication skills are essential.
• Proactive problem solver with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsabilidades

• Clean and maintain communal areas (halls, stairs, landings, lifts).
• Remove litter and waste from communal spaces and maintain bin stores.
• Check and maintain communal lighting and refuse areas.
• Support basic grounds maintenance and vegetation control.
• Assist with winter services including snow clearance and gritting.
• Report environmental issues and hazards to the team.
• Support clearance of void properties and communal areas.

We are looking for a proactive and customer focused Estate Services Resilience Operative to join our team, with a strong emphasis on grounds maintenance services across our estates.

This is a varied, hands on role where you will play a key part in keeping our outdoor environments clean, safe, and well maintained, delivering a high quality service to our residents every day. While the role includes elements of caretaking and waste services, it is primarily focused on grounds maintenance, ensuring green spaces and communal outdoor areas are maintained to a high standard.

What you’ll be doing

Caretaking and Cleaning

• Cleaning communal areas including halls, stairs, landings, and lifts
• Removing litter and waste from communal spaces
• Maintaining refuse areas, bin stores, and chute systems
• Checking and maintaining communal lighting

Grounds Maintenance

• Supporting basic grounds maintenance such as litter picking and vegetation control
• Assisting with winter services including snow clearance and gritting
• Supporting wider estate services teams where required
• Removing fly tipping and bulky waste from estates
• Supporting clearance of void properties and communal areas
• Reporting environmental issues such as anti-social behaviour, vandalism, and dog fouling
• Ensuring estates are clean, presentable, and free from hazards

What we’re looking for

• Experience in caretaking / cleaning, grounds maintenance, or waste services
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• A proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Basic maintenance or DIY skills
• Experience using handheld devices for reporting tasks
• A full UK driving licence
