Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Clearable Engineering Operations Technician to join our ADC InfraOps DCEO team in Ohio. The role covers hands-on electrical and mechanical troubleshooting of generators, switchboards, UPSs, PDUs, AHUs, and building automation systems with 12-hour rotating shifts.

You will work in a 24/7 data center environment, ensure safety, use CMMS for workflows, and supervise contractors. US citizenship and TS/SCI clearance are required for this position.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year in electrical or mechanical work or data center facilities.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of data center engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain electrical and mechanical equipment in data centers.
• Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within SLAs.
• Perform preventive maintenance: filters, HVAC PMs, rack power and ATS.
• Provide support to Data Center Operations technicians.
• Root cause analysis of equipment failures.
• Follow safety procedures during work.
• Work 12-hour rotating shifts.
• Record daily readings of mechanical/electrical systems.
• Use CMMS to manage workflows and inventory.
• Supervise contractors.
• Respond to on-call emergency calls.
• Comply with security procedures.
• Drive cost reduction in facilities.
• Manipulate small wires and objects.
