Job summary

Leonardo DRS is seeking an Associate Process Technician in Madison, WI to provide routine technical support to engineers and scientists on standard components, devices, materials, products, processes and equipment. The role requires cleanroom exposure, PPE, and familiarity with semiconductor handling practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must demonstrate strong decision-making and leadership skills.
• Experienced handling small delicate components, using ESD practices.
• Soldering and wire bonding experience a plus.
• Must be experienced in the safe handling of chemicals.
• Experienced in the use of various computer applications, including Access, Excel, and Labview.
• Experience with MRP a plus.
• Must have good hand and eye coordination

Responsibilities

• Operate manufacturing, material growth reactors and process equipment to conduct experiments or grow materials.
• Provide routine technical support to engineers and scientists on standard components, devices, material, products, processes and/or equipment.
• Test, modify, rework, repair, and build electronic, optical or mechanical assemblies.
• Work from wiring diagrams, operation sheets, specifications and sketches.
• Design and/or test prototype assemblies and production units.
• Coordinate several activities and reprioritize as needed.
• Read and follow SOPs and safety rules.
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
• Interface with other departments to ensure efficient information flow.
• Perform KPIs: quality of finished product, raw material stock levels, and compliance outcomes.
• Possibly read wiring diagrams and modify system or equipment as needed.
• Support, reinforce and defend the organization's mission and values.
