Job summary

Pentagon Technologies, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Laboratory Technician for a second shift (2pm-10:30pm) in Hayward, CA. The role supports ICP-MS and LPC testing in a cleanroom environment, with on-the-job training for ICP-MS operations, maintenance, and data interpretation.

Strong attention to detail and effective communication are essential. The position is full-time, non-exempt, with opportunities for growth in a dynamic, innovative lab setting and occasional overtime or weekend work

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; related training acceptable.
• Bachelor’s in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related field a plus but not required.
• Willingness to work in fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and safely handles chemical solutions according to specifications, conducts accurate extractions, and assists in process development.
• Organizes ICP-MS queue, cleans and maintains labware, and performs ICP-MS and LPC testing per procedures.
• Maintains equipment and lab supplies, tracks inventory, and reports low stock to supervisor.
