TSMC Arizona is seeking a Facilities Mechanical Engineer to join the 5-nanometer fab in Phoenix. You will lead design and operation of cleanroom environments, cooling systems, and utilities while supporting energy efficiency and green manufacturing initiatives.

The role requires shift work, emergency overtime, and on-site work at the Phoenix facility, with opportunities to contribute to ERT duties and continuous improvement. Competitive benefits and a 401(k) plan are offered.

Formación

• A B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC/R Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related technical field; a Masters/PhD preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to actively listen and engage diverse colleagues.
• Understanding of heat transfer, thermal management and fluid dynamics; knowledge of conventional manufacturing techniques.
• Shift work and emergency overtime are required.
• Familiarity with vibration analysis, air molecules and chemical analysis is preferred.
• Experience with mechanical systems operations in the semiconductor manufacturing industry is preferred.
• Understanding of HVAC, plumbing and building codes (ASHRAE, IBC, IECC, IMC, IPC) is required.
• Experience with AutoCAD is required.

Responsabilidades

• Designing, building and operating a cleanroom with air flow, temp and humidity control for ultra-clean environments.
• Designing, building and operating chilled water systems and air handling units.
• Managing exhaust, wet scrubbing, thermal oxidizers, and process air abatement units.
• Collaborating with design or project management on large designs and projects.
• Conducting construction administration and site observations.
• Running daily system operation and data analysis; monitoring utilities distribution.
