Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a skilled Facilities Technician to support the Spaceport Systems Integration team at Vandenberg Space Force Base. The role maintains the IPF cleanroom and associated HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems to ensure safe, efficient spacecraft processing.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, inspections, calibration, and coordination with engineering and operations.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent with 8 years of prior related experience OR 2 years post-secondary/Associate's Degree with 4 years of related experience.
• Experience in ISO Class 7 cleanroom environments preferred.
• Familiarity with HVAC, electrical, and plant utilities in aerospace facilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on facility equipment and systems.
• Inspect buildings, equipment, and systems to prevent downtime.
• Calibrate and repair cleanroom-related equipment and environmental controls.
• Support contamination control, gowning procedures, and ISO regulatory compliance.
• Assist with installation, modification, upgrade, and qualification of new systems.
• Maintain accurate records, logs, and inventory of tools and parts.
• Operate facility equipment including cranes and power tools; respond to emergencies.
