Job summary

Amey is offering a permanent Cleaning Team Leader role on the Clackmannanshire schools contract in Alva FK12 5FE.

You will supervise cleaners, conduct bi-weekly audits, manage stock, train staff, and ensure H&S standards. 30 hours per week, shifts 6am–9am and 2:30pm–5:30pm with built-in flexibility.

This is a permanent role within Amey's long-term contracts, offering development opportunities, a supportive team, and a commitment to safeguarding.

We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Permanent Cleaning Working Team leader on our Clackmannanshire schools contract in Alva Academy, Academy Ave, Greenhead, Alva FK12 5FE

30 hours per week (shift pattern Mon to Fri starting 6am to 9am and again 2:30pm to 5:30pm but will have built-in flexibility to suit school situations)

We work in partnership with our clients and end-users to ensure our 24/7 services are delivered to the highest standard with minimum impact or disruption to day-to-day operational requirements of the schools.

What you will do:

Supervise cleaners within your team, carrying out basic people management activity

Carry out bi- weekly cleaning audits for internal improvements

Control stock levels and order consumables to ensure service delivery through the correct channels

Operate machinery safely and in line with the guidelines and training provided

Train cleaners in Amey way modules including 6 monthly refreshers.

Resolve any concerns or issues raised by team members or escape to your people manager if you are not able to.

Carry out any reasonable requests that are directed by your line manager.

Responsible for ensuring H&S standards are achieved across the contract.

This role will also support both local and business zero carbon programmes, working towards zero carbon in a strategic and lean manner as and where it is appropriate.

What you will bring:

Supervisor/ team leader cleaning experience, preferably within a facilities maintenance background

Highly organised, responsible, efficient, and excellent attention to detail

Strong customer services skills, friendly, approachable with a positive work ethic
