Job summary

DARCARS Automotive Group in Fairfax, VA is seeking a Cleaning/Maintenance Porter to support dealership cleanliness and the presentation of our vehicle inventory. A valid driver's license is required.

You will clean areas throughout the dealership, sweep and vacuum floors, service bathrooms, manage lot presentation, tag vehicles, move and deliver cars as directed, and report supply needs while following safety guidelines and company policies.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School diploma or GED.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to pass pre-employment screening (background).
• Ability to lift at least 30 lbs and work outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Clean areas throughout the dealership to maintain a safe, clean environment.
• Sweep, vacuum and mop floors; clean bathrooms and restock supplies.
• Empty trash and manage waste receptacles inside and outside.
• Maintain and organize dealership vehicle inventory; tag keys and move vehicles.
• Inspect vehicles for damage and ensure accessories are listed on invoices.
• Report material needs to supervisor and assist in dealer exchanges.

DARCARS Automotive Group is now seeking a Cleaning/Maintenance Porter!

*Must have a valid drivers license*

As the Cleaning/Maintenance Porter you will play an extremely important role in customer satisfaction and the overall continued success of our company. In this role, you are responsible for the dealership cleaning and maintenance as well as lot management including cleanup and display of the dealership's vehicle inventory.

For this role, you'll need:

• Excellent communication skills with both customers and DARCARS employees
• Demonstrated commitment to customer service.
• Requires a High School diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Requires the ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and policy documents, as well as converse comfortably with customers
• Ability to lift a minimum of 30 lbs
• Ability to work outdoors and on your feet for extended periods of time in various weather conditions
• Ability to operate manual transmission is highly preferred
• Must be a minimum of eighteen years of age
• Must have a valid driver's license and safe driving record
• Must be able to pass pre-employment screening (background)

In this role, you'll:

• Clean areas throughout the dealership to maintain a safe, clean and pleasant environment for dealership employees and customers.

• Cleans driveway and walkways, removing debris, ice, and snow, as necessary
• Complies with DARCARS policies and procedures
• Assist in dealer exchanges
• Other duties as assigned
