Job summary

DARCARS Collision Center of Baltimore is hiring a Porter. You will play a key role in customer satisfaction, handling lot management, and assisting the shop team with vehicle movements.

The position requires strong communication, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to lift 30 lbs. Safety, reliability, and a valid driver’s license are essential as you work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers with a smile and provide excellent service.
• Manage lot and move customer vehicles to/from the shop as needed.

• Assist estimators and technicians by moving vehicles and providing assistance.
• Provide shuttle service to customers when requested.
• Report safety or policy concerns to management.
• Keep lot, driveway, and walkways clean and free of debris.

DARCARS Collision Center of Baltimore is now hiring a Porter!

As the Porter you will play an extremely important role in customer satisfaction and the overall continued success of our company. In this role, you are responsible for lot management and will perform various tasks and errands for the collision center.

In this role, you'll:

• Conducts business in a professional and ethical manner


• Greet every customer with a smile


• Wash exterior and vacuum interior of vehicles(detailing experience a plus!)


• Assist Estimators and Technicians by moving customervehicles to and from the shop and anything else they may need assistance with


• Provide shuttle service to customers, when requested


• Reports to management any situation or condition that jeopardizes the safety, welfare, or integrity of the dealership, its employees or customers


• Maintains cleanliness of lotarea, keeping floor clean and dry, as necessary


• Responsible for garbage removal


• Cleans driveway and walkways, removing debris, ice, and snow, as necessary


• Complies with DARCARS policies and procedures


• Other duties as assigned

For this role, you'll need:

• Strong communication skills with both customers and DARCARS employees


• Demonstrated commitment to customer service


• Requires a High School diploma or equivalent (GED)


• Requires the ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and policy documents, as well as converse comfortably with customers


• Ability to lift a minimum of 30 lbs


• Must have visual acuity that meets Maryland MVA requirements in order to operate company and customer vehicles


• Ability to work outdoors and on your feet for extended periods of time in various weather conditions


• Ability to operate manual transmission is highly preferred


• Must be a minimum of eighteen years of age


• Must have a valid driver's license and safe driving record


• Must be able to pass pre-employment screening (background)
