Dollar Tree, Inc. is seeking a Cleaner/Sanitation professional for the Monday-Friday 8 AM-4:30 PM shift at our Warrensburg, MO distribution center. The role focuses on deep cleaning and upkeep of assigned areas under supervision, with safety as a top priority.

You will operate cleaning equipment, follow company procedures, assist with pest control when required, and support overall facility sanitation in a full-time role offering a climate-controlled environment and a collaborative team.

Qualifikationen

• Must be 18+ years old.
• Ability to work at heights and in tight environments.
• Regularly sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; talk or hear.
• Regularly lift/move up to 10 pounds, frequently up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Walk several miles each day.
• Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Aufgaben

• Clean and maintain floors, furniture, fixtures, walls, ceilings, windows, glass, mirrors, equipment, and other building surfaces.
• Sweep, mop, scrub, vacuum, polish, remove stains, and dispose of debris.
• Safely use and mix cleaning chemicals according to instructions and standards.
• Operate floor scrubbers, industrial vacuums, and cardboard balers.
• Move furniture, boxes, equipment, and other materials as needed with hand trucks or equipment.
• Maintain janitorial equipment and organize supply closets and work areas.
• Follow OSHA, company and local safety requirements and procedures.
• Identify and report unsafe conditions, accidents and injuries promptly.
• Attend required safety meetings and training programs.
• Help maintain building security and safety, including locking doors and hazards.
• Work safely around powered equipment, at heights, and in tight spaces.
• May be required to use ladders, drive company vehicles, or perform basic repairs.
• Perform pest-control tasks when required.
• Perform other cleaning, maintenance, and related duties as assigned.

Job Title: Cleaner/Sanitation Shift: Monday-Friday 8 AM-4:30 PM Job Type: Full-Time

Position Summary: The Distribution Center Cleaner conducts the deep cleaning and upkeep of an assigned area in a distribution center. This person operates at the direction of a supervisor, either singly or as a member of a team. Safe operation in accordance with Company policies is of prime importance.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain floors, furniture, fixtures, walls, ceilings, windows, glass, mirrors, equipment, and other building surfaces using appropriate cleaning methods and equipment.
• Sweep, mop, scrub, vacuum, polish, remove stains, and dispose of debris, trash, and cardboard.
• Safely use and mix cleaning chemicals according to manufacturer instructions and company standards.
• Operate powered cleaning equipment, including floor scrubbers, industrial vacuums, and cardboard balers.
• Move furniture, boxes, equipment, and other materials as needed, using hand trucks or other equipment when appropriate.
• Maintain janitorial equipment and keep supply closets and work areas clean, organized, and in good working order; request supplies as needed.
• Follow OSHA, company, and local safety requirements and procedures.
• Identify and report unsafe conditions, accidents, and injuries promptly.
• Attend required safety meetings, training programs, and hazard assessments.

Working Conditions

• Working conditions may include small spaces, dust, fumes/odors, hot/cold temperatures, inside/outside noise, vibration, standing on concrete for long hours, and wet or uneven surfaces.
• Generally, in an indoor setting; however, may participate in outside activities and events.
• Varying schedule to include evenings, holidays, weekends and extended hours as business dictates.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
• Wears protective clothing and/or Personal Protective Equipment required by the work environment or governmental regulations.
