Job summary

Magna Powertrain is seeking a dedicated cleaner to maintain cleanliness across offices and manufacturing spaces. Responsibilities include daily cleaning, disinfecting washrooms, refilling supplies, and operating floor scrubbers as needed.

Experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred; English literacy and a valid driver’s license are required. The role offers steady, full-time employment with regular tasks and periodic deep cleans.

Qualifications

• Able to read, write and understand English to execute written or verbal instructions.
• Hold a valid driver’s license.
• Previous cleaning experience is an asset.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment, automotive preferred.
• Initiative and an ability to work under minimum supervision.

Responsibilities

• Clean all offices, vacuum floors, sweep & mop, empty and clean garbage containers, and empty shredders.
• Clean kitchens, countertops, microwaves, garbage containers, fridge, mop floor, load and unload the dish washer.
• Clean boardroom tables, chairs, empty garbage, mop floors, clean fridge and countertop and refills fridge and cabinet with water/pop.
• Clean and disinfect all washrooms and locker rooms in the facility, including toilets, sinks, counter tops, floors
• Clean lunchroom, all tables, chairs, microwaves, counter top, sink, fridge and floor.
• Refill all soap, lotion, paper/toilet paper dispensers (plant & office area).
• Provide list of supplies to be ordered as necessary and give to MRO Coordinator.
• Replenish PPE at appropriate locations, including lens cleaner, gloves, rags and wipes.
• Run scrubber on the plant floor twice per day, or as required.
• Take out garbage to compactor.
• Performs other assignments from time to time as management so directs.
• Weekly: Major clean-up on all fridges, microwaves and disinfect all door handles, counter tops and garbage containers.
• Clean internal windows in main lobby areas.
• Monthly: Clean office blinds, tops of cubicle cabinets, tops of lockers.
