Job summary

Magna Exteriors in Michigan is seeking a 2nd shift production worker to support assembly lines and meet daily output targets. You will rotate through production areas, operate hand tools, and help ensure product quality while complying with safety policies.

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
  • Support continuous improvement and adhere to ISO/TS16949 standards.

Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Requirements:High School Diploma or GED is required.Essential Duties:Rotate through production areas, as requested, which includes:Ensure assigned production requirements are being met specific to quality and timingInform team leader, production supervisor or production manager of assembly problemsReport on time for pre-shift meetingEnsure a safe working environment by observing safe work practices and by following all safety policies and proceduresComply with all company policies and procedures as written or as communicated in the employee handbookPerform detailed assembly operations to mass-produce automotive productsPerform fitting or fastening operations using tools assigned to each station following work instructions in accordance to TS16949 and ISO standardsReview all quality alerts prior to beginning of shiftPerform all duties as outlined in the MESComply with all quality policies and proceduresInitiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformities relating to product, process and qualityIdentify and record any problems relating to product, process and qualityReport machine and equipment malfunctions to team leader, production supervisor or production managerResponsible for the safe handling and maintenance of all company equipment, facility and toolsDaily routine maintenance of the plant to maintain a clean, safe and healthy workplacePerform any other reasonable assignments given by the team leader and/or managementUnderstand and comply to employee responsibilities as they apply to the Magna Employee’s CharterExperience:Previous production experience is preferred.Excellent organizational & time management skillsSelf-motivated and able to perform assembly duties with minimal supervisionWorks well in a team environmentWorking knowledge of hand toolsPhysical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
