Job summary

Conifer Realty in Princeton, NJ seeks a diligent Cleaner to maintain hallways, laundry rooms, restrooms and common areas, ensuring spaces are spotless and welcoming for residents.

You will support maintenance tasks, follow safety procedures, and coordinate with team members to meet priority needs, with Monday–Friday schedule and competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of custodial or janitorial experience (apartment or facility cleaning a plus).
• A high school diploma or GED (preferred).
• Knowledge of cleaning products, safety procedures, and environmental hazards.
• Good communication and customer-service skills to interact with residents, visitors, and team members.
• Time-management skills and the ability to shift tasks as priorities change.
• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance for scheduled shifts.
• OSHA or hazardous materials training a plus; ongoing safety training provided.

Responsibilities

• Keep common areas spotless — sweep, mop, vacuum, polish, and disinfect throughout hallways, laundry rooms, restrooms, and community spaces.
• Maintain curb appeal — help with groundskeeping, trash removal, and light outdoor tasks as assigned.
• Support the team — assist maintenance staff with apartment clean-outs, light painting, bulb changes, and basic upkeep.
• Prioritize safety — follow proper storage and handling of cleaning materials and report any maintenance or environmental issues immediately.
• Show care — ensure residents and guests always experience a clean, welcoming environment.
