Job Description

Under the supervision of the building Principal and Head Custodian, responsible for performing cleaning and custodial duties to protect and preserve buildings, equipment, and furniture.

Job Summary

7.0 hours/day; 5 days/week; 260 days/year

Minimum Qualifications

1. High school diploma. Relevant work experience or training substantiates work skills.
2. An acceptable score on a pre-employment skill test may be required.
3. Ability to lift/move items weighing 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work.
4. Accurately collects, records, and maintains data. Applies basic mathematical concepts correctly.
5. Complies with drug-free workplace rules, board policies, and administrative guidelines/procedures.
6. Displays flexibility, reliability, self-discipline, and a willingness to take on challenging tasks. Reacts effectively to interruptions and emerging priorities.
7. Demonstrates literacy and numeracy skills, including reading comprehension, communication, and mathematical reasoning.
8. Embodies high ethical standards and integrity. Accepts personal responsibility for decisions and conduct.
9. Maintains a record free of criminal violations that would prohibit employment in a public school.
10. Meets all mandated health screening requirements.
