Georgia-Pacific is now hiring for Clean-up Crew worker at our lumber mill in Diboll, Texas.
Our Team
Housekeeping and clean-up responsibilities are supporting mill operations and maintenance teams. Mill wastes will either be reentered into mill process for by-product profit, placed in correct mill waste containers, or recycled or reused accordingly. Proper disposal of all wastes into appropriate roll-off containers, mill waste dumpsters, or process reentry hoppers or conveyors.
What You Will Do In Your Role
- Maintain cleanliness of mill operating areas in a safe and productive condition such that mill waste does not impede mill safety and environmental goals, as well as production equipment
- Utilizes tools such as brooms, shovels, and rakes to collect and remove process build up or trash from around mill equipment or areas where mobile equipment cannot reach. Clean-up areas will focus on areas immediately outside mill operations housekeeping responsibilities to support mill operations
- Utilizing mill mobile equipment (skid steer, front end loader, etc.) for bulk removal of waste materials either through sweeping, shoveling, or pushing. Maintains, repairs, and requests all tools required for performing job duties as necessary
- Additional tasks as assigned including filling in for other roles as needed
- Actively participate in the Safety program to improve processes as well as adhere to safety rules and regulations including the wearing of proper PPE
- Flexibility to flow to the work as needed (Utility, Firewatch, Clean-up, etc.)
- Work in a hot, humid, cold, and noisy industrial environment
Physical Requirements
- Walk on elevated catwalks over 15 feet high to perform daily duties
- Work in a non-climate controlled mill, with dust, noise and temperatures that can be higher in the summer and lower in the winter
- Perform tasks such as lifting (50lbs), walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for up to 12 hours/day

- Ability to perform physical requirements such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing, and/or pulling
