Job summary

Mid Hudson Energy Transition (MHET) is seeking a Development Associate intern to support fundraising activities, donor stewardship, and grant writing. This internship provides hands-on experience in development operations, prospect research, and CRM data tracking, contributing to MHET’s mission of equitable clean energy solutions.

The intern will assist with fundraising plans, grant proposals, donor communications, and event support, gaining exposure to energy justice and decarbonization

Qualifications

• Strong persuasive writing skills enabling clear proposals and reports (≤140 chars).
• Strong design skills to create effective presentations and visuals (≤140 chars).
• Passion for energy justice and decarbonization with understanding of community impacts (≤140 chars).

Responsibilities

• Support fundraising and donor stewardship across MHET programs.
• Research funding opportunities from individuals, foundations, and funds.
• Maintain donor databases and generate fundraising reports.
• Assist with planning fundraising events and outreach activities.
• Write and edit grant proposals with MHET’s mission emphasis on energy justice.
• Track grant deadlines and ensure timely submissions.
• Synthesize data into compelling reports and dashboards for funders.
• Collaborate across departments to collect impact metrics for communications.
