Position Summary:

Perform hand finishing work as well as all assembly operations as part of the production process in the assigned cell.

Responsibilities:

• Performs all operations associated with the removal of excess Karon and blending of liner to substrate. Performs buffing and blending of surfaces on complex geometry using various hand and power tools. Edge breaks chamfers, angles and radii to blueprint, often by hand.
• Performs Karon visual inspection and, when necessary, repair of Karon liners in accordance with Kamatics’ Kview inspection standards.
• Follows all proper safety and PPE protocols to Kamatics standard.
• Makes adjustments to meet customer requirements. Develops and documents pertinent procedures.
• Selects and documents proper tools, methods, and techniques for finishing complex geometries to meet blueprint requirements.
• Resolves problems or refer problems to appropriate individual.
• Performs all responsibilities within productivity and quality expectations. Follow work procedures.
• May train K-View / Edge Breakers in operations and processes
• Perform several assembly responsibilities in a cell. Assemble and adjust complex components. Mark, label and package parts. Make adjustments to meet customer requirements.

• Set up and operate several assembly and packaging machines. Considered a master of 1 process.
• Act as a troubleshooter for some assembly process problems. Resolve problems or refer problems to appropriate individual.
• Provide limited training to assemblers.
• Maintain clean and safe work environment. Follow safety and environmental procedures and regulations. Report safety incidents to supervisor.
• Make recommendations for improvements to work processes. Contribute to 5S program in work area.
• Provide a high level of service to all internal and external customers. Contribute to positive teamwork environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned. Participate in training/learning other positions. Accomplish related results as needed

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

• 4+ years of experience in manufacturing production environment.
