This position is responsible for professional instructions during fall school designed to provide academic, social, physical, and skills development for students in specific grades/subject areas to prepare them to be successful citizens and workers in the 21st century.
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and an endorsement in the grade/subject taught with a valid Tennessee certificate. Governed by the Rules and Regulations of the Tennessee Code Annotated and the collective bargaining agreement.
The following special conditions are required: Commitment for the entire period of fall school. May involve missing some district training opportunities. Attendance at ALL preparatory planning sessions and periodic administrative meetings. Availability prior to the end of the regular school assignment contract to participate in fall school setup and preparation. Availability for fall school closeout operations which may occur after the new academic year contract has started.
