Job summary

Department of Education Victoria – Saint Albans VIC is seeking capable classroom teachers to deliver planned programs, assess student progress and support diverse learners across campuses. The role requires collaboration with colleagues, parents and the wider school community.

Classroom teachers may be employed at Range 1 or Range 2, with responsibilities including data-informed instruction, mentoring student teachers, and contributing to school policies in line with state priorities.

Qualifications

• Must have provisional or full registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching.
• New graduates must demonstrate LANTITE requirements (literacy and numeracy).
• Experience in planning, teaching and assessing student learning is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching of groups of students and individual students.
• Contributing to development, implementation and evaluation of curriculum programs.
• Undertaking other classroom teaching related and organizational duties as directed.
• Participating in parent/teacher meetings, staff meetings, camps and excursions.
• Mentoring student teachers and using data to inform teaching approaches.
