Job summary

Department of Education Victoria – Saint Albans VIC is seeking experienced Leading Teachers to improve teaching and learning across the school. You will coordinate staff to implement whole‑school priorities, model high‑quality practice, and lead curriculum initiatives aligned with the Victorian Teaching and Learning Model 2.0.

You will work with students, families and staff to monitor progress using data, provide professional development, and contribute to policy development within the school.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage whole‑school improvement initiatives aligned with the strategic plan.
• Coordinate curriculum planning and delivery across learning areas.
• Provide professional development and develop staff development plans.
• Oversee staff performance and development processes (reviews).
• Demonstrate teaching through lesson demonstrations and modelling.
• Develop and monitor assessment and reporting policies and practices.
• Lead school operations related to student welfare and discipline.
• Contribute to curriculum development and policy discussions at the school level.
• Support the development of proposals for school council consideration.
