Job summary

Clayton County Public Schools Eddie White Middle in Hampton, Georgia is seeking a Paraprofessional to support teachers and students across multiple instructional areas. You will assist with small-group activities, prepare instructional materials, and supervise students in the absence of the media specialist.

The role requires GaPSC paraprofessional eligibility (or equivalent), with options for an associate degree or two years of college coursework.

Qualifications

• Must hold an associate's degree or higher in any subject from a GaPSC-accepted accredited institution.
• Two years of college coursework (60 semester hours or 90 quarter hours) above remedial with a grade of C or better.
• Have passed the GACE Paraprofessional Assessment and hold a minimum of a high school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Supports students in resource, self-contained, regular classroom and/or in-school suspension settings.
• Conducts small group or individual activities based on lesson plans developed by the teacher.
• Provides language translation services as needed.
• Assists with preparation of materials for instruction (including copying/duplicating of materials, bulletin boards, grading work).
• Performs duties for meeting the needs of specific student populations (lifting disabled students, hygiene assistance, behavior management).
