The role requires an associate degree or higher, two years of college coursework, and passing the GACE Paraprofessional Assessment, with a high school diploma or GED.

Qualificações

• Associate degree or higher required.
• Two years of college coursework (60 semester hours or 90 quarter hours) above remedial level with a grade of C or better.
• Must have passed the GACE Paraprofessional Assessment and hold a minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent.

Responsabilidades

• Provides support to selected students in resource, self-contained, and regular classroom settings.
• Conducts small group or individual classroom activities based on lesson plans developed by the teacher.
• Assists with preparation of instructional materials, copying/duplicating, bulletin boards, grading when needed.
• Performs duties for meeting the needs of specific student populations (e.g., lifting, personal hygiene assistance, behavior management).
• Assists with routine record keeping, housekeeping, and school-wide supervision (e.g., bus loading/unloading).
