Responsibilities

• Assists with the organization and preparation of the classroom and instructional materials; gathers resources and related supplies.
• Instructs small groups of students in various subject areas under the teacher's supervision.
• Provides guidance and encourages the development of literacy and social skills.
• Monitors students and provides classroom coverage when the teacher is away.
• Performs administrative duties such as making copies, recording attendance, grading papers, and other related tasks.
• Provides supervision during recreation, special events, field trips, and other activities as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
