Qualifications

• Must possess 48 college credit hours, an Associate’s degree or successfully passed ParaPro test.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional lessons to reach achievement goals in collaboration with teachers.
• Follows instructional schedule developed by personnel with assistants.
• Prepares instructional materials and assists with learning tasks.
• Administer assessment tools and report student progress to teachers.
• Assist with classroom activities and supervise students on field trips.
• Maintain bulletin boards, attendance records, and classroom supplies.
• Support students with disabilities in accordance with special education programs.
• Read to students and participate in literacy development.
• Participate in staff development and planning meetings.
