Job summary

Archdiocese of San Antonio is seeking a full-time Instructional Assistant for St. Pius X Catholic School for the 26-27 school year.

The role supports the classroom teacher in planning, guiding, and educating students in a Christ-centered environment while adhering to the Archdiocese policies. The position involves supervision, materials preparation, and collaboration with staff to uphold safety and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Two years of study at a higher education institution; or an associates or higher degree; or ability to assist in instruction in core subjects.
• Experience working with children in day camps, youth groups, private schools, licensed day-care centers, or similar settings.

Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher in planning and preparing instructional materials.
• Supervise students before, during, and after school.
• Maintain confidentiality and safety standards.
• Support classroom management and record-keeping.
• Collaborate with staff and parents to support students.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
