Job summary

Mesa Public Schools in Mesa, AZ is seeking a ParaPro for full-time 32.5 hours per week to 지원 teachers in instructional activities and relieve clerical tasks. The base hourly rate is $16.56.

The schedule is A11, 9.25 months, with benefits including sick leave, holidays, retirement matched through the Arizona State Retirement System, health and life insurance, and annual performance pay. Requires HS diploma, or higher, with options for degree credits or ParaPro test.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent.
• Associate’s degree or 60 college credit hours required at time of hire OR pass the ParaPro Test.
• Strong communication and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Work in close proximity with assigned teacher and students.
• Assist students, individually or in groups, to reinforce skills and/or oversee learning activities.
• Assist with classroom computer instruction.
• Participate as a stakeholder in school improvement initiatives.
• Develop classroom materials to support lesson plans and activities.
• Maintain instructional equipment to ensure availability.
• Perform record keeping and general clerical functions to support staff.
• Regular and on-time attendance required.
• Perform other related duties as assigned to support the work unit.
