Job summary

Boston Public Schools is seeking paraprofessionals to assist teachers in delivering high-quality education, supporting instruction for students, and helping prepare instructional materials.

You will support in classrooms, small groups, field trips, and behavior management; required to have HS diploma or GED, 48 college credits or an Associate degree or ParaPro/WorkKeys; two years' experience; US work authorization.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• 48 credit hours of college coursework or an Associate's Degree, or passing score on ParaPro or WorkKeys.
• Minimum of two years experience with young children.
• Current authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Supports direct instruction to children individually, in small groups, and in classroom settings.
• Provides assistance with classroom activities.
• Prepares instructional materials.
• Assists in classroom set up and clean up.
• Manages individual and classroom behavior, using prescribed approaches.
• Supervises students on field trip activities.
• Performs other related duties as requested by Head of School/Principal.
