Job summary

The Arrow Child & Family Ministries in Joppatowne, MD, is seeking an Assistant Teacher to support classroom instruction and student care. The role follows a Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–4:00 PM schedule, with a focus on assisting in educational and special education services as documented in plans.

Qualifications include a High School diploma or GED plus at least one year of experience with children; a Bachelor's or Associate's degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required with at least 1 year of experience with children.
• Prefer Bachelor's or Associate's degree in a related field.
• Ability to support classroom instruction and behavior management.

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing educational and special education services per IEPs/PEPs.
• Support teacher in direct instruction and group/individual activities.
• Maintain safe learning environment and manage student behavior.
• Document attendance, grades, IEP data, portfolios, and behavior logs.
• Assist in creating curricular/remediation materials as directed.
• In the teacher's absence, implement instructional plans and participate in meetings.
