Job summary

Arrow Child & Family Ministries seeks a dedicated One-to-One Aide to assist the Teacher in delivering services per the IEP for an identified student at the Arrow Center for Education School. The role is contingent on the student’s presence on the roster and the IEP team’s approval.

The position involves maintaining a safe learning environment, supervising student behavior, and providing individualized support under the Teacher’s direction. Experience with children and families is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• At least 1 year experience working with children and families, preferably in a school setting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe learning environment per school policies and procedures.
• Supervise and manage student behavior in the classroom, school, and school-sponsored functions.
• Provide a consistent and reliable supportive presence in the classroom.
• Escort assigned students to all activities, as indicated by the IEP.
• Under the direction of the Teacher, provide individualized instruction and support to an assigned student or small group.
• Utilize a variety of teaching strategies to promote progress and success with an assigned student or small group.
• Provide a learning environment that is individualized for students and supports their independence.
• Assist the Teacher with paperwork to record student progress, attendance, targets, and behavior data.
