ACCEL Schools seeks a Part-Time Instructional Aide at Capital City Sports Academy in Columbus, Ohio. The position supports teachers, promotes a positive classroom climate, and assists with activities and school events.

Qualifications include an Associate degree or 2 years of college (or Paraprofessional Exam), MS Office proficiency, and successful background checks. Ability to lift 25–40 lbs. preferred; school experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or two years of college coursework or Paraprofessional’s Exam.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Successful completion of BCI/FBI check.
• Ability to meet educational standards.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Physical ability to lift 25–40 lbs.
• Experience in a school or social services setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supports lessons taught by the teacher to individual students or groups and follows instructional plans.
• Helps plan classroom activities and supports the Teacher in student and parent relations.
• Assists with school activities and events (parent nights, assemblies, field trips, etc.).
• Performs clerical duties (grading papers, copies).
• Assists the Teacher with classroom technology use.
• Maintains cleanliness of classroom, lunchroom and other areas.
• Follows the school’s philosophy and policies in all activities.
