Job summary

The Menta Education Group is seeking a Classroom Security Paraprofessional w/Student Transportation in Galesburg, IL. You will work with classroom instructors to provide targeted teaching and support to students, and assist with supervision to ensure a safe learning environment.

Responsibilities include academic and social-emotional support, managing classroom behavior, reporting concerns, and transporting students using a school van before and after school.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver's license and be willing to transport students by van.
• Paraprofessional certification training provided by the employer.
• Ability to work with high-risk students and manage behavior in a classroom.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic and social-emotional support in the classroom.
• Manage classroom behaviors and report concerns to staff.
• Implement behavioral program policies and data.
• Provide interventions to students to help manage behaviors.
• Provide general supervision and respond to emergencies when needed.
