Job summary

Baltimore County Public Schools is seeking a Paraeducator to support student learning under the supervision of a teacher. Responsibilities include assisting students individually and in groups, performing clerical tasks, and ensuring a neat classroom environment.

The ideal candidate should have a High School diploma or equivalent. Additional qualifications include forty-eight college credits or passing scores on the ParaPro Assessment. This role may require working afternoons, evenings, and weekends.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience working with students in a classroom setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of the educational system is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Assist students individually or in groups to support learning.
• Maintain a clean and safe classroom environment.
• Perform clerical tasks, including taking attendance and grading assignments.
• Assist with recreational play and outdoor activities.

Skills

Knowledge of working with individuals with disabilities

Ability to communicate effectively

Advanced knowledge of computer programs

Ability to maintain confidentiality

Education

High School diploma or equivalent

Forty-eight (48) college credits

Passing ParaPro Assessment score
